Red Ribbon Week
Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free.™
October 22-31, 2022, Kaiser Knights recognize National Red Ribbon Week, a week where students throughout the country focus on living a healthy, drug-free life. At Kaiser, students will be focusing on the theme: Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free.™. The theme is a reminder that everyday Americans across the country make significant daily contributions to their communities by being the best they can be because they live Drug-Free!.
Schedule of Activities
MONDAY - All Kaiser students will receive a Red Ribbon Week wristband. Wear this wristband to participating businesses for free or discounted items. Check out the list on this page.
TUESDAY - Kaiser students will sign pledge cards to grow up safe, healthy, and drug-free. Watch for those pledge cards to appear around Kaiser to make a school-wide statement! Teachers also have the option of sharing videos from Natural High, a drug prevention nonprofit that inspires and empowers youth to find their natural high and develop the skills and courage to
live life well. Links to the recommended videos are on this page.
Then join us for our 2nd annual Kaiser/Woodland Trunk-or-Treat!
WEDNESDAY - School is closed for parent/teacher conferences, but we hope you can take this time to make a connection with your student(s). Whether it’s sharing the Natural High videos and having some open dialog, taking a walk to Hola Adios (120 Virginia Place, Costa Mesa) for the school fundraiser to visit with friends, or maybe a stroll in the Back Bay to reconnect with natural surroundings - we hope you make today count in way that is meaningful for your family.
THURSDAY - Wear RED Today! Show how your student pledges to be DRUG FREE by wearing red!
FRIDAY - Kaiser ASB has selected a dress-up day theme "Dream BIG!" - come to school dressed in college gear, showing how living a drug free life can help you accomplish your dreams!
