What will supporting the PFO look like this year?

The 2020-2021 school year looks a lot different (to say the least) from any other year. We are all learning as we go, and your Kaiser Woodland Parent Faculty Organization (KWPFO) is ready to support all of our students with critical funding for Technology and the Arts. This critical funding is largely secured through our annual membership drive. The PFO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. (Charity Tax ID: 95-3764593)

Our goal each year is 100% Membership. That means 100% of our Kaiser and Woodland families have chosen to say "I support what the PFO provides" by getting their 2020-21 PFO Membership.

Memberships start at $20 and include the whole family. We realize that in this challenging year 100% membership may not be possible for all families. To help the PFO generate the membership funds needed to support the critical school expenses during distance learning, we appreciate any families who may be able to donate a little extra to cover the membership cost for families who have been hit hard by COVID or other economic struggles. All donations are tax deductible.

Where are donation dollars going this year?

1. The PFO funds the following school expenses through all phases of learning (virtual, hybrid, and traditional on-campus):

   • Critical technology for students at all levels including Freckle Math, Lexia Reading and the Renaissance Learning (formerly Accelerated Reader) programs, which continue to be used at home and in the classroom.

2. In addition, we would love to provide additional modified arts and (virtual) events opportunities as funding allows. For example:

   • New hardware technology for school use including laptops and projectors.
   • Grab-and-go art kits for at-home art projects.
   • Virtual field trips and events.
   • Fun extras and prizes for kids and teachers throughout the year.

3. As we return to campus, we need your support even more. With your help, the PFO supports art enrichment, our libraries, Teacher Appreciation, hardware, science, Healthy Choices Week, music and more.

**The Court Party is an adult evening with Kaiser and Woodland Parents and Faculty, by invitation only to donors at the Court-level membership or higher. The event will be held only if state and local heath guideline allow. Membership refunds are not given in the event the party cannot be held. All funds will continue to be applied toward school programs.
